Construction Technology
Construction technology is the
methodology utilized to build the structure of a home. Today there are
many more choices than there were just a few years ago. Construction
technologies typically fall into two general categories, systems-built
or site built, and Evergreen is highly capable with both. Depending on
architecture, site considerations, project timing, and customer
preference, Evergreen can build with modules; open frame panels,
structural insulated panels (SIPS), insulated concrete forms (ICF), or
utilize conventional site framing. In many cases, we combine two or
more of these technologies to build homes as efficiently as possible.
The primary difference between these alternative technologies is the
location of construction (at a factory or on site), and in the case of
systems-built options, the degree of completion in the factory.
Regardless of the construction technology chosen for a particular
project, Evergreen utilizes the same high quality building materials
for all of our homes.
Systems Built
When appropriate, our preference is to incorporate systems-built technologies into our
homes as they typically provide us with an improved level of
efficiency, consistency, and project control, which is difficult to
match with site framing.
